A HEALTHY GUT AND TO A SEXY & HEALTHY BODY

Our digestive systems continously extract water and nutrients from an astonishing amount of solid foods and liquids over our lifetimes, all the while fending off nasty microbes and processing waste. What we put into our stomachs is so important that it affects whether we feel well, how flat our bellies are and even our chances of avoiding certain cancers.

When it comes to digestion, women face some unique concerns. "Shifting hormone levels from menstraution, pregnancy and menopause all put a feminine stamp on your digestive tract.

Women have the same digestive organs as men, but they are squeezed, alsong with reproductive organs, into a smaller abdomen. "This menas our digestive organs don't have much give when they get filled with excess gas, air or food.

Keeping your stomach healthy, soothed and lean can be as simple as making the right food and drink choices. Here some tips:

Eat to beat disease: citrus fruit, fiber-rich foods, leafy greens and yellow vegetables.

Choose foods that soothe: caraway, cadamom, cinnamon, cumin, fennel, ginger, mint,
nutmeg, oatmeal.

Eat foods to flatten your tummy: avocado, brown rice, dark chocalate, nuts, oatmeal, olive oil, seeds.

These foods also help to decrease stomach cancers as we increase our fiber intake of 25 g per day.

Salt- Could it be killing us?

Salt increases blood pressure, a major factor in heart disease and premature death. Sodium is an essential nutrient. The major sources of sodium in diet are processed foods (70-75%), naturally occurring sodium in unprocessed foods (10-15%), and the addition of salt during cooking or at the table (10-15%). Hence, processed foods are both the major source of salt in a person's diet, and the factor which individuals are least able to control. The main health effect of too much salt is high blood pressure which is an acknowledged risk factor for ischemic heart disease, stroke and renal disease which are major causes of morbidity and mortality.
The danger of children eating too much salt is particularly great because of the impact throughout life. Studies indicate if children's blood pressure increases due to excess intake of salt the pressure levels remain higher in life, even when the salt intake has been reduced.
High intake levels may increase susceptibility to carcinogens, leading to e.g. stomach cancer. Americans already eat way more than the recommended amount of salt.
We have a taste for salt--but we can change it. At what price will we pay for that taste.
Try herbs as scallion, garlic, thyme, cilantro, dill instead of traditional seasonings.

Chia Root - The Aztec Superfood

Raw Organic Chia Seed Powder
First cultivated by the Aztecs in Pre-Columbian time, the Chia seed served as a staple food for the Nahuatl cultures of Central Mexico for many years. Today the Chia seed is still revered for its highly nutritious properties, such as being rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids, which help protect against inflammation and heart disease.Chia seeds are also high in:
Protein
Antioxidants
Fiber
Calcium
Niacin
Zinc
Chia seeds are highly hydrophilic, meaning they readily absorb water which makes our Chia Powder blend very easily with smoothies, yogurts, and any of your favorite drinks. Being highly hydrophilic also means that it expands in size when wet, so our Chia Powder is an excellent thickener that essentially adds no additional taste, just additional nutrients
